Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Richmond and the Capitol Washington DC. Charlottesville and areas around here are full of college town amenities with living in Charlottesville or outside of the town. Our historic interests are endless. Home to many presidents, which can be seen through architectural models that Thomas Jefferson has designed. With many parks and National Forest there are many outdoor actives all year round. From skiing in the winter to wine tasting in the spring with a taste at every season the climate is very pleasant. From mountaintops, which rise to over 3,200 feet, rolling hills and the ocean a short drive away. Summer can be warm with a little humidity but not excessively hot. Winter is generally mild because of our mountain shelter from severe storms. With beautiful spring and fall months as well. The colors in the fall are a true treat. With fine dining and great shopping, there is no reason why one could not find everything they are looking for. The arts and entertainment options are endless. From music on the downtown mall or drama at UVA. The New York Times states “Charlottesville has been discovered” and further states Charlottesville as a “gentle haven for the rich and famous”. The proof lies within the long list of actors, playwrights, novelists, and capitol of industry who have settled here. Charlottesville residents were tops for leading, attending cultural events, engaging in civil and culture activities, collection antiques and records, playing tennis, and having home computers.
